This page describes how we handle personal data across shopping, accounts, payments, shipping checks, and doctor-related services on our website.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how HomeoCare (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, place an order, book a doctor consultation, or otherwise use our online store and related services.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to our e-commerce storefront, customer accounts, checkout and payments, order tracking, wishlists, doctor directory and appointment booking, and doctor onboarding applications submitted through HomeoCare.
It does not replace medical advice. Product and consultation information on the site is for general wellness and informational purposes and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the site, and limited information from service providers that help us operate securely.
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, password or OTP-based login credentials, and profile information you choose to save.
- Shipping and billing details: delivery addresses, pincode, city, state, and contact numbers needed to fulfil orders.
- Order and payment information: items purchased, order history, payment method used, and payment status. Card or UPI credentials are processed by our payment partners and are not stored as full card numbers on our servers.
- Doctor services: appointment details (patient name, phone, age, notes, selected slot) and, for practitioners who join our network, professional profile data such as qualifications, registration/licence details, clinic information, consultation charges, availability, photograph, and licence documents.
- Communications: messages you send to support, feedback, and notifications related to orders or applications.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and approximate location derived from network data, used for security, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information only for legitimate business and service purposes, including:
- Creating and managing your customer or doctor account.
- Processing, packing, shipping, and tracking orders, including checking delivery serviceability for your pincode.
- Processing payments and preventing fraud or unauthorised transactions.
- Enabling doctor discovery, appointment booking, and doctor application review by our administrators.
- Sending transactional messages such as order confirmations, payment updates, shipping updates, and application status notices.
- Improving website performance, customer support, and product catalogue experience.
- Complying with applicable laws, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our terms and platform policies.
6. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the platform. These providers process data only as needed to perform their services for us:
- Payment processing: Razorpay and/or UPI payment rails to collect and verify payments for orders.
- Logistics and delivery checks: Delhivery (or similar carriers) for pincode serviceability, estimated delivery information, and shipment tracking where enabled.
- Media hosting: Cloudinary (or equivalent) to store product images and doctor profile/licence uploads securely.
- Infrastructure: hosting, database, and email/OTP delivery providers required to run the website and send transactional messages.
8. Data retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order, payment, and appointment records may be retained longer where required for compliance or audit.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), password hashing, and server-side handling of sensitive credentials (for example, payment and logistics API tokens are never exposed to the browser).
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong password, keep your login details confidential, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
9. Doctor applications and professional documents
If you apply to join as a doctor, you submit identity, professional, and licence information for verification. You are responsible for ensuring that documents and details you provide are true and authentic.
Application materials are reviewed by authorised administrators, kept for onboarding and compliance purposes, and are not published publicly until (and unless) your profile is approved for the doctor directory according to our workflow.
10. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information associated with your account. You may also update profile and address details from your account settings where available.
You can opt out of non-essential communications where we offer that choice. Transactional messages related to orders, payments, security, or legal notices may still be sent.
To exercise a privacy request, contact us at support@homeocare.com or 96161 50113. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
11. Children’s privacy
Our store and doctor services are intended for adults and caregivers acting on behalf of others. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for account registration without appropriate adult involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal data inappropriately, please contact us so we can delete it where required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when changes take effect. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
